Notice from the Support Team

We’d like to inform you about key digital security measures that will help safeguard and enhance your experience with Allevo.

Background

Allevo planning files, including master and shuttle templates, rely on macros. Unfortunately, macros can be exploited by untrusted sources, creating a risk of malware. To better protect your system, we highly recommend tightening your macro security settings.

Kern AG Security Certificate

Kern AG provides a security certificate that verifies our source as trusted. When combined with signed master files, this certificate ensures that required macros run securely, allowing Allevo to function smoothly and safely.

Already Have a Certificate?

If you already have an up-to-date certificate installed, you can continue working with your signed master files as usual. We advise against removing the current certificate. If you'd like to check whether a file is signed, here’s a helpful guide.

New Certificate for New Master Files

Starting November 2024, new master files will require a new certificate, which must be installed by your IT department. Typically, this is done centrally through group policies. For decentralized installations, we provide the certificate in MSI format.

For any questions regarding certificate installation or requests, our Kern support team is always available to assist.
